Minchinhampton is a historic town which owes much to the wool trade of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Many houses called “weaver’s cottage” hark back to those days. There were multiple Market Houses and many footpaths still exist that lead from the town down to the mills in the valleys where much of the work was done. Today, Minchinhampton has much of the historic character, alongside modern businesses and lifestyles.

The Market House is an entertainment venue and also the location for the weekly market, held on Wednesday mornings.

The Hub has a gym, youth club and Minchkins – a baby and toddler group.

Minchinhampton Common is a wonderful resource on our doorstep – 600 acres of National Trust land to enjoy. The land is grazed by cattle in the summer months.
